I found this silver nugget which I was able to pick up. Unfortunately, it weighs about 250 pounds and I am in the blue. I am assuming that I will need this sometime in the future. Anyone have any helpful suggestions? Would really appreciate it. Thank you.

I've been toting this sucker around forever as well! I have no idea what it's for, unless it's one O them red herrings. Anybody?

In the Mt Gigas caves (I don't remember if it is upper or lower) is a pressure plate on the floor in one of the passages.
Sitting the nugget on it opens another passageway around the corner with a monster and a chest in it.
So far this is the only use I have found for it.

Thanks Moni, so in other words, it's a good idea to lug it around, even though it weighs so much.

I stashed mine in a chest in Arnika until I figured out what it was for so unless you are headed that way, there is no need to keep it in your inventory, but do stash it as opposed to selling it until you are ready to use it.

Heh. I found this plate, but I just used a rocket launcher to hold it down. Since nobody in my party can use modern weapons, it was just a big paperweight anyhow.

Col Saz! Thanks!
I knew there had to be more to it than just a big "paperweight" LOL!
Too funny Werdna!

I haven't been into the Rapax Rift yet...glad I stashed it back in the chest in Arnika!

Just be careful not too fight too often around ferro because he really likes to join in the fights and the other rapax are very capable of killing him. But the Mirror armor, ivory blade, and vampire chain are all great itmes.

I put an 'empty bottle' on the pressure plate in the Umpani Caves.

Worked great, and I just left it there.
