I still can not beleive they threw that compition to have to boot someone out. I am so glad that burt is gone. I think I would have been a little happpier if they would have booted that drunk John off. I really like the digs Jeff was getting in on John about the respect thing on how john was going to vote.

But I am really like this years theme. They needed to do something like this to make it more intresting to the fans of survior.

Anyone want to take a guess who is going to be the winner?

Interesting... I'm unclear as to whether they threw the challenge or not. I guess I'd have to think about who's been sitting out during challenges. If they have had a rotation, it's fair... stupid, but fair. I suspect Rupert may have sat out because he couldn't throw a challenge, so by sitting out, he didn't have to.

I do think the addition of Rupert to the loser tribe will have a big impact. I hope it bodes well for Rupert's future in the game... although if he's on their side for the next immunity, it could make things interesting if he wins and is then sent back for the vote

I also agree on the theme -- pirates and plundering is great! Rupert set the stage with the first episode (it's piracy, and I stole. That's the game).

Looking forward to more...

I do hope rupert being "hijacked" by the other tribe doesnt lead to his early demise. I hope he plays it smooth so he doesn't jepardize his apparently solid alliance.

I like the guy and so far he is most deserving of winning.

This weeks turn of events have me puzzling. Survivor had its first quitter as well as the first time people who were voted out were given a chance to return to the game, and they succeeded!!!

I dunno if like the latter very much, but I think Osten shoulda gotten the boot way back on day 5 when he was griping about not being able to handle it.

Opinions?

Opinions? I got a couple...

... I liked the twist of the new tribe coming in. Wonder if they'll stick around for a couple of sessions or not... interesting...

... Osten... shoulda been toast. Long time ago. But if I'm committed to winning the million, I'd sure like to be going up against someone who's not. That would be the best reason to keep him around.

... At this point, I start looking for who I'd like to go up against in the final 2. And whiny annoying snippy prissy John is the perfect person to go up against. That's the only reason I can think to have kept him instead of Shawn.

... And in thinking of the final 2, the only way Rupert makes it is to win immunity, I think. Would you want to go up against him? Nah....

... The outcasts coming back... interesting. I found Savage's venom-laced diatribe hilarious... combined with his not realizing that they were immune at the next TC. Gotta love it. I think it will come back to haunt him, this perspective that those who have gone before are second-class losers. The remaining three in Morgan besides him have got to be wondering whether he thinks of them as second-class losers as well.

Be interesting to see the outcast TC vote next week. I caught an assumption that each tribe was getting one of their own back, not just any one of the castaways. I imagine Burton heading over to Morgan, and someone from Morgan heading over to Drake (Lil?)

Beats the heck out of the usual mid-season recap.

okay, it looks like those of us down under are two weeks behind y'all in north america. tonight is episode 6, i think. (last week, rupert returned to his tribe after winning the reward challenge with osten's loser party. but then went on to lose the immunity challenge and voted out the cute little dark-haired girl.)

so, if y'all could provide more details (ie SPOILERS) on what exactly has happened, i for one would love to hear them. cuz it sounds like some good stuff is about to happen!

thanks in advanced!
