i have uni holidays coming up soon, and am looking for some stuff to read. I'm just wondering if anyone can suggest any relatively new fantasy authors to me? I have read stuff from most of the more well known fantasy authors, so i'm looking for some new stuff to read. Thanks folks

George RR Martin - Song of Ice and Fire series
Robin Hobb - Farseer trilogy and the tawny man are great
Eric van lustbader - ring of five dragons
Philip Pullman - dark materials trilogy, it's for younger readers but it actually is a quite good read

I second the motion on His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. Also I recommend Stan Nicholls' Orcs series if you like FRPG novels or twisted Tolkien.
