I'm actually *trying* to lose reputation in mild doses, but to no avail. Perhaps my mac version is buggy. when you injure, without killing, an innocent, you are supposed to lose 2 points, I believe, but it doesn't happen for me. I'd rather not kill someone just so I can keep Viconia in my party. Granted, she's a looker, but no woman is worth killing for.

It never did that on my PC version either.

I never lost rep for just injuring people either. Mind you once you turn those circles red the slaughter is fairly inevitable!

Remember that annoying guy in Naskell that follows your party and tells the same tale 30 times? I once knocked him down with my bare fist. He went out like a light and I didn't get any loss in rep (It must have hurt a lot, because my char had 18/91 in STR).

Yest - I know that if you just keep on listening to him you will gain XP and he will leave for good, but I didn't know that then.

Hmm, I believe that my manual lists injuring an innocent as grounds for rep loss in the chart at the back. Could be wrong. Can't check b/c I don't have the manual with me.

In my experience, you can punch Beggars and children around all day and not take any Rep loss. But if a Flaming Fister sees that you've been turning Innocent characters Hostile, you'll have to knock him out too.

there are many things posted in the manual that arent in the game. I think this is because the manual is taken straight from the AD&D rules, but the game doesnt implement everything.

in BG, you dont lose rep for hitting someone, just killing them.

Hah! Remove ANY evidence of your wrongdoing, is it?
