I "beat" BG II many months ago. I no longer have my final save file. I have since updated my computer to win XP.

Is it possible to create a sufficiently leveled up party and do JUST the Throne of Bhaal part of the game?

Or would I have to do the whole thing over again? Ugh?

Hmm. It would be possible with ShadowKeeper.

Yes. There's an option when you start BG2 that asks if you want to play Shadows of Amn (the original game) or Throne of Bhall (the expansion). You can start a new game in ToB and be just under the SoA experience cap, around level 17-20, or so I believe. You'll also start out with a selection of enchanted gear and a bit of cash. About 10-15 minutes into the game, you'll be able to pick up NPCs (and even pick up NPCs in romance, if you have the Flirt Packs installed from Forgotten Wars).
