"It was awful down there with no light, little food and GOD you wouldn't believe the SMELL", said Mr. Baggins when questioned about the conditions under which he was improsoned.

Good to see you back again Mr Baggins!! Associating with kobolds, I'd have thought the smell would have reminded you of home.

Even as a member of the B.Y.O.B., I cannot argue with the logic of that observation. Perhaps our beloved chairman, Legolas, would be so prudent as to appoint a Council of Inquiry into the massacre.

Ah, I see this little story is going to grow itself a tail. Regardless of those responsible for the massacre, I believe it is safe to say that and further attempts at KI shall take a lot of time to shape up. Because of this, the senate is off the hook with the thousand and five gold coins thingy. Although many will view this is a major setback to society, none can deny it is a great benefit as far as the council budget is concerned.
Naturally, it is not because of this, but because of the atrocities inflicted and the dubious evidence involved that an investigation will indeed take place.
All attempts at locating Mr. Underhill shall cease as of now, that we may instead concentrate on this much larger threat. For to go against kobolds is one thing, but to purposefully disrupt experiments funded in part by the senate is something we cannot allow to let pass unpunished.
To prevent anyone from trampling the evidence, the site of the slaughter is as of now off-limits to the public. Anyone caught looting shall pay the standard fine of 450 GP as per articles 13.2 - 13.5.
Councillors are requested not to leave the building, for they too fall under suspicion. I shall have each and every one of you questioned, not because I believe the culprits are amongst us right now, but rather as a routine check. The people of Baldur's Gate can expect no less of us.
After questioning, investigators shall proceed to the site and gather what evidence is left.
Special forces shall attempt to find both Mr. Baggins and the now suspect Mr. Grungi. The anonymous journalist and his equally unknown sources too must be found, in the interest of the nation's safety.
It is my sincere hope we shall find those responsible soon, before any further bloodshed will take place.

By the way, the budget and I have nothing to do with this, as I'm sure you will all know. Right, I have a... cricket appointment. Don't leave the building unti lthe interrogators are finished, and I'll see you all on Monday. Goodbye!

It seems like this KAK association is willing to sacrifice all other races of Faerūn just to get rid of the kobolds.

Who knows, they might have had connections to Sarevok.

I will like to make this statement, before anyone tries to find a scapegoat: "The organization of F.O.P. (Friends Of Profit) had nothing to do with this alleged incident."

The members of F.O.P. would have 'cleaned' the area of items - even a single knife would not had been left on the ground. I will unveil some of the otherwise very secret rules of the organization:

§7 subsection 3: Anyone that breaks one/some of the rules are immediately banned from F.O.P.

§11 subsection 2: Every monster/person that posses items of value must be killed - as long as the kill does not infuence the value of your belongings, when doing business with other people.

§11 subsection 3: After a succesful kill, all items of value must be removed from the battlefield and sold/used/saved for later use.

Oh to hell with the fancy speeches, let's just kill everything until all the stuipid kobolds!
To all you other races: if you hand over the kobolds, we shall not kill any one else, and shall just take Mr. Baggins as hostige.
If you don't: prepare to die.

There are Kobolds in my woods from the program who were not at the site at the time of the massacre. They were running a few errands for Baggins and they saw the smoke and killing at the Baggins school and fled. They are now seeking refuge in my forest.

Any KAK members found trespassing in my woods will be torn limb from limb by my animal friends or burnt to a crisp by lightning even if those KAK members have good intentions. If any KAK member wishes an audience than they must stay at the edge of the woods and keep their camp fire lit for 5 days. I will then send an escort to give them passage through the forest. I will not be attending council until the situation as died down as I believe the KAK is quite capable of assassinating members who support Baggins program or harbour Kobold refugees.

KAK members have been warned. The sooner the situation as died down the better because I do not wish to have Kobolds in my forest.

I make a motion that we adjourn from the Senate chamber, and continue the questioning and subsequent debating at that "Mermaid" establishment.
