Same sex romances- the easy way

I noticed the post on the same sex romance under development (sounds fun)and thought I'd share the easy way to implement same sex romances in BG2- which carry through fine into TOB. Use one of the save editors available for BG2 and simply give yourself the belt of gender- unless you already have it brought forward from your BG1 saves. Play the game until the point where the romance you wish to take part in begins, and put on the belt of gender just before this- the romance will initiate, and you can then remove the belt and go back to being female for the rest of the game and TOB. It isnt perfect, since once or twice your gender is mentioned incorectly in the romance texts, but since most of the time it's not, its easily overlooked.

You are correct in that the Girdle of Gender (if you can find it or create it) will "jump-start" a romance and then change your character back to mimic a same-sex romance. You could also use ShadowKeeper to set/reset your gender (or a spell, if you create it). However, the romances will proceed as they are already designed.
Galadria and Columbus are creating a romance mod from scratch for female PCs and Imoen. Quite a bit more complicated.

Good idea of yours, I must admit.

Or just add CharacterMatch = 1 via the CLUA console

There´s also the famous "concurrent romances" wich will allow you to have all the romances in the game regardless of race or gender.

However, you must admit that a whole new romance with a previously un-romanceable character (i.e., Imoen) is more interesting and adds to the re-play factor of the game. There already are some romance mods around (Kelsey, Tashia, Soulafein) but to my knowledge Galadria´s is the only one specifically designed for a same-sex romance. And so far, it looks very interesting and well written.

The whole "sister" thing has been discussed to death already. I personally don´t think of Imoen as the main character´s biological sister anymore than I think Yaga Shura (Fire Giant) and Abazigal (Dragon) are biologically related to him/her, to name two examples.

Imowin is reallted until partway though ToB when you both stop being bhallspawn. As an afterthough how many people are intersted in a gay relaitonship on BG2

Sure you are technicaly correct - but itd be interesting trying to fit a complete romance into the final 30 seconds of the game.

On the second point - quite a lot it would seem. And its an original way to irritate the "games are for kids" morons, which is a good thing.
