I beat Draconis the first time through, but I thought I was dead! I had only myself and Keldorn left, the mighty Boo was even dead! The last I had looked Draconis had healed himself and was uninjured, although I had worked him over (in Dragon form as well) earlier. I can only guess that my triple lightning bolt spell trigger richocheted and did the trick. By the way, my party was around level 28 and had already finished (most of) Watcher's keep.

I would definately not call this battle easy.

Honestly, the Dragon-Bhaalspawn was a LOT easier than his son who sat guard outside. I spent an entire afternoon trying to beat that SOB. Then, when I had him at Near Death, he cast heal on himself and was completely restored. The Dragon Bhaalspawn, however, just killed one of my guys while I pummeled it into submission.

One of the keys to beating dragons in general is tactical formation. Try to come at them from all sides. When your fighters are bunched, paticularly with the support troops right behind, a single wing buffet inevitably does everyone in. At least try and cast a high level summons behind them. I've found as long as you don't bunch your group, the dragon can't knock everyone ass over teakettle at once - it's relatively (Draconis is STILL one of the tougher fights) easy after that.

WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I GOT HIM! Had two fatalities and everyone is pretty beat up, but I got 'em. Geez that was tough. He kept curing himself!

God love breach and dispel magic.
