Neomi, why give anomen the sling of seeking to increase his strength, when he has richous magic to do that for him,may aswell give him sling of everard and use richous magic on him.

sling of seeking doesn't increase strength it applies the wielder's melee strength damage bonus to each sling bullet hit - you want a high strength character to use it

Yes,so if it tempererally(sp wrong becuase im dumb) increases him str,why not use a +5 sling along with richous magic, eithe way,my way makes more sence, wether it increases it per hit or makes it that str bonus.Becuase if the sling of seeking temporerally increases his str with each hit,why not get a + 5 sling and richous magic to get his str to 25 and have a + 5 not + 2 instea dof use a + 2 wepon and get 25 str...Myway makes more sence to me.

No offense, man, but your way only makes sense because you've misunderstood what they said. Sling of Seeking DOES NOT increase your strength. It applies the damage bonus your strength gives you to your attacks, which slings normally don't do. As such, while the Sling of Everard is more likely to hit - and can damage every enemy in the game, thanks to the +5 bullets it fires - the Sling of Seeking, when given to someone with high strength, will do more damage. Giving the Sling of Everard to someone who has 25 strength is a waste; they won't be any more effective than if they had 10 strength.
What I would do is have Anomen use the Sling of Seeking and Righteous Magic (after equipping any str-enhancing items) against normal enemies, and keep the Sling of Everard in his inventory for use on enemies that require +3 or better to hit (like iron golems).

In ToB, you can get +4 bullets, making the damage from weapon alone as good as the sling of Everard. But, Seeking will do EXCESSIVE damage. With the priest spells, Anomen will easily get 25 strength, making every one of his bullets hit for a wopping 20+ damage!

All magical slings will add your STR bonus when used with enchanted bullets. So while the Sling of Seeking was supposed to be unique in providing this exceptional ability, it really isn't any better than a generic +2 Sling.

You know something cool. A lvl 13 Generic Archer/Cleric dual, using the Erinne +5 Sling with +4 Bullets. With Grand Mastery in Slings, GoES, and Righteous Magic activated, he'd be doing 38 dmg per hit, with 8 ApR if you cast Imp Haste on him.

What really sucks though, is that a Kensai is still a deadlier ranged attacker than that.

Really? But I would choose GA/C over K any day. Imagine having such a deadly archer in your group who ALSO has a gazzilion buffing, attacking and healing spells.

Heh, I need to try this combo one day.

Thanks for the info, I did not know that. Is this fixed by Baldurdash or anything?

One thing worth mentioning is that the STR bonus is not added to phantom bullets. So using the Sling of Everards own bullets wont work, you have to use real enchanted bullets (don't know if the bag of plenty works, think it does).
