I just started playing Baldur's I / TotSC.
When I save my games I find that time listed is different than the time in the game. e.g., the saved game says Day 3 Hour 10 but in the game is Day 4 Hour 15. When I re-open the saved games, the time is still 4 Hour 15. I changed the "Maximum Frame Rate" in the .ini file to 45 to speed up the game play. Could this be messing up the game time? Do I need to worry about it? There is another flag in the .ini file called "Walk Acceleration Fix" (under the [Macintosh] heading) does that relate to this in any way? Thanks, Colin |

No - the time difference is nothing to worry about. I have always had it and i doesn't affect my game in any way that I can detect

Good to know it's not an issue. (Better to start over now than find out some quests can't be completed due to time constraints.)
Thanks! -Colin |

There is a discrepancy of 1 day and 7 hours between both the 'time spent in party' (character record; information) and saved games, on the one hand, vs. the gamescreen clock, on the other. I think the journal is the same as the in-game clock. Perhaps 1 day and 7 hours reflects the amount of time spent traveling with Gorion?

My *guess* is that the time reflected in the save game screen reflects the amount of game time that has elapsed since you started the game with that particular character.
The date/time stamp in the journal reflects the game's "real life" time. For instance suppose the date and time when you first started the game with your freshly-rolled character is Apr 1 0800. In the save game screen that would be Day 1 Hour 0 but in the journal it would be Apr 1 0800 (or whatever the D&D equivalent of April is).

One is a calendar/clock, the other is elapsed time. It's like that on everyone's game. "Let's do the time warp again"
