I think it is not worth it.
 Only if you have free 15 USD per month and if you don't matter that you'll become addictive at the game, that is kinda stupid, full of idiotic teenagers with cocky comix graphics. You will have bad feeling to play anything else, cause you've invested bucks into this game. It is never very good to stuck only with one game, that you are playing 24/7... or better say, you play it over your whole free time. I would say NO. It's not worth it. Start with some cool free mmo game. You will have much easier times to get rid of addiction (that every mmo game is producting). If you like team PVP (which is IMO the only real element, why you play games with players, and why you are not content with scripted mobs), try Shadowbane. I disagree with Galdur completley.
It's worth it because its the best game in the world. 10million players shows this. If you don't wanna get addicted, you just stop playing.

The best game, because 10 milions shows it? Yeah, it's same like when 10 milions were showing, that Earth is a flat plank, once.
