Heya.
I just bought the original Morrowind in a bargain bin for $10NZ (about $5 US). I'm also interested in buying the expansion packs, but unfortunately the only way to do so where I live is to buy the full 'game of the year' edition (which includes the orignal plus both add-on campaigns) for $70NZ. So, would this really be worth it? Do the expansions really add anything amazingly significant to the game? Or should I just stick with the original and save my incredibly minimal supply of money? Cheers for your advice.

I thought Tribunal sucked. Apparently Bloodmoon was much better, I dunno, don't have it. Morrowind is a really huge game, I think it's probably big enough on its own.

Thanks AJ! I've heard many similar verdicts, but I was keen to get the more 'personalised' opinions of people I'm semi-familiar with on IW.

Morrowind is good enough on it's on. The other 2 expansion don't add much to Morrowind in term of original storyline. So it's rather quite dissapointing ( to me ). Anyway, the 2 expansions does add up more gaming hours so that you won't uninstall your game after beating Morrowind.

~the expansions add functionality to MW. most notably, the journal (highly unorganized and useless as is) and map system.
~the best gaming mods that improve MW are designed using the game with both XPs installed. ~the collection comes pre-patched. for my experience, without the XPs, it's like playing bg2 unpatched w/o tob and baldurdash. V***V

ive got to agree. plus, MW gets boring after a while once your character becomes OmniPowerful and Tribunal/Bloodmoon adds challenges that are more fun than jus changing the difficulty. id say its worth getting it.

If you are interested in getting them, try getting them online. Lot of expansions are only available for a limited time, but I use online shopping if I still want them

Aaron, one thing that I did find very useful was the fact that Tribunal parses quests. Your journal just gets out of control after a while, sooo annoying. I haven't tried Bloodmoon.
Y'know, I bought the Tribunal CD here for only about 5 euros, let's say we test if I ever actually get around to sending you those CDs (sorry sorry sorry, loaded with work, everybody demands my time and attention, poor me but all I need to do is buy a bubblewrap envelope so it WILL happen. Really.) and it works out and they arrive safely, then I could always send you Tribunal through mail.

The Journal features added by tribunal or bloodmoon alone are probably worth an extra $10, unfortunatly that is about all tribuanal is worth. I would say that $35US would be pushing it, but if you could find bloodmoon by itself cheap ($15 US or less) somewhere then I would recomend you get it.
