if a barbarian uses haste or boots of speed does this make him faster than you would normally be with haste since he starts faster or does he just move at the normal haste rate?

i think u will move the same fast as using the haste spell.it can be stacked though with both of them, so u can move even faster.but the boots of speed only speeds your walk speed, not your attack speed.but haste spell increases both movement.

The movement does stack. A blade with offensive spin and improved haste activated = a blur.

I thought hastes weren't cumulative though...

as the haste-spell discription says, the haste spell doubles the movement rate. from the manual: "a creature moving at 6(i think it means 6 feet per round. just a wild guess though) and attacking 1 per round would now be moving at 12 and attacking 2 per round", this would mean that the barbarian would be moving at 16(assuming he moves around 8 regularely).

Going back to the original question:
Will a Fighter wearing Boots of Speed be just as fast as a Barbarian or Kensai (who have faster "unmodified" walking speeds than the Fighter), wearing Boots of Speed? I, for one, am not sure. I only played a Barbarian once, and forgot to hold races.
