Boots Of Speed - where?

Now I am lvl14 solo mage, a force that should be already considered by my enemies

two items I lack are the Staff Of Magi (will do later) and the Boots of Speed. Where do you all get them???

Do the Haer Da'lis quest. First you find him dominated in a wizard's hideout down in the sewers (accessed from the temple district). Later he will get into trouble and you will have to bail him out again. That time you will find a pair of Boots of Speed on a fallen enemy.

The boots of speed- in the planar prison when you do the Haer'dalis quest, another pair in the asylum 1st floor, second half.

Staff of magi- twisted rune, bridge district.

Another related tidbit: Until you get the boots be sure always to have some potions of speed. They are really useful when handling random encounters without using magic.

hey, I just go invis, run a little then throw a skulltrap at the ruffians

None lives through the hell!

And even if you do not bribe the Cowleds, you can use magic in the random encounters without causing the enforcers to summon!

Go to the Five Flagons Inn in the Bridge and talk to Raelis Shai (sp?). She's downstairs in the playhouse.

In my previous game I got it, but never cared to find that poor actor...
