That depends a bit on the state you're in. Michigan is more specific than Texas, I noticed, which was quite vague.

Nope. Then society becomes the monster to get rid of monsters. If society wants it's citizens to respect human life, it has to start from the top, by decreeing there is never a situation where one human may kill another.
SOMEONE has to get rid of the monsters. They're not going to go away if you just ignore them.

If they're likely to do it again, then they shouldn't have been released. Don't these criminals get any type of professional help to make sure they won't do that again when they get out? Or do they just lock them up for a couple of years, and then let them out? o_O

The experts say though that child-molestors actually can't be cured but only suppressed.

I completely support having a website that shows all the sexual predators in your neighborhood. And boy do I have a lot of em in mine!, lovely. Most of them are repeat offenders as well it seems... Saw one that said "Crime Against Nature," not sure what THAT is. Not sure I want to either. Sickos. Hell, I'd even be for tattooing a stamp on their sicko foreheads so everyone on the street could know them for what they are. No sympathy at all for rapists and pedophiles.

The severity of the crime should dictate the severity of the punishment...ten fold.

I can think of several uses for pedophiles and sexual predators: Testing the results of prolonged exposure to napalm/nuclear fallout/agent orange/mustard gas...you get the picture.

No second chances, no rehabilitation and no mercy.
