It's a long story.

The original post was on a car site, and has details of me doing over 140mph + in my MR2T.

I'm a member of that forum. But I never said I made the post.

A post was made in my name? Who said I was sat in the chair writing it...Could of been hacked etc...

And i "gained" admin access to remove said post, whether it was made by me or someone else!

Just wondered if a printed version of this post, with no ip etc will stand up.

And it may be shady, but like I said, the people wont find this site.

So if its assumed I made the post, the details were accurate, would the stand-alone copy stand up in court? If it gets that far?

Well, just off hand it seems you are not as inconspicuous as you might think. Your bucket of bolts in incapable of going over 140+ MPH, even with the NOS and the Chip mod you conducted on the 3rd. Besides, you even said it would only top 135 with the current set-up.Hmm???

The question of will it stand in court is mute. You should be concerned with HOW it will be JUDGED in court. Think German law, two witnesses proves your guilt, innocent or not!

Heh, I'm so confused now

If we're literally just talking about a written account of the excursion (ie no incriminating video) then there's not a hope in hell of you getting convicted.

Your guilt must be proved beyond reasonable doubt for you to be convicted of a criminal offence in the UK and a forum post is a long long way from that.

In the absence of independent third party evidence (like driving past a speed camera ) I wouldn't even worry about it. I'd be amazed if the Crown Prosecution Service even took it to trial.

Of course, if you were doing 140 on a public road then you deserve to be sent down!

Thats what I was thinking Shamrock...

And I dont care if the Judge thinks im a complete tool. He can't prosecute unless the law states he has the correct evidence to do so.

And Felix, honestly what are you on about? My car does 159mph in standard form. And my car is way up on standard now, it's had a canny few coins spent on the bodywork/interior, and oh, the bit that makes it go faster, the engine.

But it doesn't have NOS.

It does however have fast road cams, lightened flywheel, racing crankshaft and bearings, and forged pistons, conrods, and every belt and gasket uprated, the list goes on. NOS isnt for me, my car is a street car...not some thing used only on a drag strip.

And yes mine is the Japanese import, and it's now pushing well over 300bhp. And it weighs 1.2 tonnes.

Every heard of a user that could combine the initials of his brand with the scientific initials of water and form a user name?
