For those that have been here for awhile, to see the dawn of a new forum and such, do you wish you could go back in time and relive it all again?

I ask this because I was just looking at the beginning pages of the wiz8 forum and a rush of nostalgia came across me. How active and wonderous it was, the members, the laughs, and now it is all gone, all its splendor lost.

And the Online Roleplaying forum too, it just ain't the same anymore. Back then when it first opened, so many RPGs so much fun. Waterdale, the Octagon, LotF, everything. Oh man.

Well, I'm no expert, but maybe that's because August 2004 doesn't quite constitute a while... Not even I'm voting in this one.

Sure I'd go back.

LOL -- was just cruising the ancient W&W archives myself. Had a game question, found someone else who had asked the same, and then saw myself answer him: OVER FIVE YEARS AGO!

All very demoralizing

I didn't vote, so as not to tamper with the actual numbers or anything, but I wish I have been here back when it was as active as you say it was. At this moment, there is a couple of good RPGs at the Roleplaying forum(blatant self-advertisement), and the member count is only making the boards more active.

I know, but the golden age of IW has ended IMO. It just isn't the same anymore. I still remember when Z opened up all these new forums, when the BG forum was still very active and BGII was swamped with great posts. Oh man...

(Not sure if almost 3 years is longtime, but oh well. )
It was much more active when I joined... BG II forum was usually full of new posts each day, and the GD was always full of new posts. Cloudy's could fill up in a day (I remember that one time we had 3 in one day, hehe) and not a week, and things were great! Got even better when johnny came.

Well. There are lots of members who used to around ages ago who aren't anymore, which is sad. But having 'lived' it once, I don't know why you'd want to relive it... I don't think I understand the question. I remember lots of good threads but there are still good threads today. There was a lot of crap and spam and dicky members then, too; I'm not one to look back and pretend the good old days were perfect and now is way worse in comparison. I think it would be cool if all the oldtime members who I was friends with and who contributed a lot to making IW a fun place came back, but it was now still? Uh, yeah, that's what I think

I'll tell you one thing I wish... It would be nice if the climate wasn't so uptight. We were able to make jokes a few years ago that we'd never get away with now.
