My friend and I were kinda bored, and since we're getting old for trick or treat, we dicided to scare kids

Basically, he would hide on one side of a road, and I on the other. When victims walked by (usually kids 8-12 without parents), he would scream. When they looked over to see what was happening, I would burst out of the other side with a bloody Scream mask, a katana in one hand, and a dagger in the other. Damn, the looks on their faces! Of course, none of them dropped their candy when they ran

Oh and no Bungleau, didn't call the cops. Nothing they could do I reckon at that point (the next day) but just make a record of it, no way to know who did it, so.

I'm gonna sit out on my porch next Halloween, and eat candy, piece by piece, but tell kiddies no candy for them! Find the tire slasher and I might change my mind LOL...Heck I might even give my entire 8 pound basket of candy to the lucky individual who busts said perpetrator LOL. [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img]

LOL! You probably scared the crap out of many kids, but you know what? You probably in the end also made their Halloween I bet doing that. [img]smile.gif[/img] LOL, too bad re they didn't drop their candy, hey though, most kids would DIE before they reliquished their hold of their Halloween booty, so... I remember the last two years I trick-or-treated (age 11-12), I got totally jipped. It was a time where sickos put razor blades in apples and injected drugs into candy, etc. So I got to go trick-or-treating those 2 years, but I had to THROW AWAY MY BOOTY. My dad would look at my booty and estimate how much I got, how much it would cost. Usually I'd get a measily five bucks, and then he'd take me to the 7-11 LOL, and I could spend the 5 bucks on candy there. Thing is, 7-11, and most stores, don't sell candy in individual pieces, so I would end up with like to candy bars and maybe a few pieces of gumballs or something cheap. What a crap deal I got LOL.

Oh and I remember one Halloween my elastic strap broke on my plastic mask, and I had to go the entire evening trick-or-treating holding the mask on with my teeth on the mouthpiece LOL, and it was freezing so the mask kept falling off because of my chattering teeth LOL. At least back then I got to eat all my candy (was 9 that year).

I'm not ashamed to tell you I went out trick-or-treating at 15 with my friend. We did however take a switchblade and baseball bat with us incase some ****head started trouble, no one suspects the lanky white nerd hanging out with the short brown kid. I understand now this was actually a good idea, I read on the C+A+D forums someone's 2 friends were ambushed by 5 others, assaulted, and had their candy taken by 17+ year olds... Losers. One of the poor kids got kicked in the neck and was in the hospital for nerve damage, they got 2 of the hoodlums though...

Anyway, my costume was a suit type thing with lots of make-up (Done by my amazing friend madeleine) and I was a Corporate Whore [img]smile.gif[/img] We went trick or treating to a few houses, but must hung around at madeleine's house with another friend. Good times, scared a tonne of kids...

I hid on the roof thing (awning?) above her porch, kevin hid in a tall bush, joel hid behind the railing, madeleine on the porch itself. We all sprung from our hiding places screaming bloody murder flailing our arms and stuff, I might have broken me ankle though! One kid fell and bashed his head as he screamed "OOOOH MY GAWDD!!!", another kid ran off crying...

Kynaeus, I think that's one reason it's not as popular with kids these days as it used to be. Seems like so many things we used to do as kids are now too dangerous. Really a shame, too! But nowadays alot of places like malls and companies will have parties and give out candy so parents feel better about taking their little ones there.

Like LadyZ points out, at some point the danger of finding razor blades/sharp objects or drugs in your candy got high enough to make some parents cancel trick or treating for their kids or do what her dad did and just dump it all. Our local hospitals all offer free x-raying of candy for parents in our area, but I dunno, if you have to go to THAT much trouble, it might be better to take your wee ones to that mall party or have your own halloween party that you KNOW is safe and invite friends/classmates and family.

Good point Cloudy here in Sherwood Park. We have the local Multi-complex do that. They set the place up with a bunch of different activities for the kids to do. Gets them off the street. My wifes Aunt went out and helped with the events. She said it was very well done and the kids had a blast. I would like to take Sydney there. But she seems to have a blast running from house to house. When her bag was to full she just had me carry it. [img]smile.gif[/img]
