Eagle your sig is misquoted... it's supposed to read:

The force is like Duct Tape - it has a dark side, it has a light side, and it binds the GALAXY together!

And I really don't want a dog, not a big fan of the pooches, sorry.

I've got chickens.

They eat alot, crap everywhere, peck you when you get close. Make sure u clip their wings. They jump ova the fence, look around, see the dog racing towards them baring it's fangs, stand still and die. True story. Happened to a quarter of the chickens we've had.

A crow (or raven if you prefer). I've never had one as a pet, but it's at the top of my list. One time, i was chilling out in King's Park after a hard weekend and absently threw a chip to a crow that was hanging around. It was wary at first but it kept coming back, each time getting closer and closer until eventually it took a chip from my hand. That's when i first noticed their eyes. Deep, deep blue-grey (not dark) that hints of the intelligence and wisdom you usually associate with a mage's familiar. And this impression can't be all cosmetic either for they surely must be amongst the most intelligent of birds. You never see a crow lying dead on the side of the road... If you could acquire one early in its life, i'm sure it would would make a great pet. Or master. ;P
