RTS (Warcraft for life! )
RPG (BG, IWD, NWN, Morrowind etc.)
FPS (Far Cry, Doom 3, HL2 etc.)

Probably in that order now. Warcraft surely has taken over my love for RPG's as I can't bloody stop playing it.

..gotta be turn-based RPG or Strategy! Disciples 2 and HoMM series. Wizardry 8 is surely great! BG2 is not nearly as good, but there just ain't much else to grab my ...thing..

HoMM rocks big time. I played that game for ages with my little brother. The only problem was we never finished a damn game, but always started new ones.

My favorite game genre is probably RPG (Baldur's Gate, KotOR etc.) but I like the occasional shooter (Unreal Tournament) and RTS (Dune 2, Warcraft III) as well. Come to think of it, the only thing I dislike are simulation games. I even played Pokémon a lot

RPGs and those "freelance" type of game where you can play over and over again. Some good examples are:

- Fallout 1 / 2
- Freelancer
- Privateer I / II (DOS)
- BG series
- Diablo 1 / 2
and etc. etc.

it has to be RPGs!
reading books by Mary Stewart based on Merlin and King Arthur forged my fancy for fantasy and roleplaying. of course, it also helped that i used to play the P&P Dungeons and Dragons when I was much younger.

First Person Shooters are also fun especially when you want to kill a few minutes.
