Well, to be honest I think that it is kind of pointless to create a character with a low profile only to equip her with items which raise these stats again. That'd be taking away a large part of the challenge, wouldn't it?
Also, believe the girdle only raises your constitution for eight(?) hours each day, not permanently.

It looks like a good and fun idea, but I would advise against using items which set your score to a certain value. Those which give you a +1 or +2 bonus are fine though, and you should have plenty of items to choose from still.
