OOC>>> As Larry would have said at a separate thread... it is getting hot in here!
![]() IC>>> Mistral Once more do they lapse into complete silence, resting their heads against each other's shoulders, bodies locked in a firm embrace. Soul to soul, they connect ~ Never again shall we part. ~ Her inner voice resonating defiantly ~ This shall be my only love. ~ The world around is illusion; the heart and eyes of one reserved for the other. Gradually, her raven-haired head stirs and she whispers into his ear ~ "Silas, I have a request." ~ Feeling the warmth and affection coursing from him into her ~ "I... I've never begged for anything in my life, but I do, today." ~ Her tone now desperate and sincere ~ "Please... let me follow you wherever you must go." ~ Her body convulsing from imaginary terrors. Disengaging herself from his reluctant arms, she kneels before him, head bowed low ~ "I beg you." ~ The chestnut tint flaring into molten gold. ~ Swallowing a gulp, her cheeks flushed, she repeats ~ "I beg you..." |

Murdock
The pair walk into the tavern, and the first thing that they encounter was a room filled with tables and people talking and rambling on about who knows what. It seemed to be a rather large crowd gathered inside, no doubt on the count of rain that had already began to moisten the land outside and make the dirt roads into horse-trodden mud. Zahara took the lead and they found a quiet little table for two where it was a little closer to the kitchens, and thus warmer to be at. Murdock moved to position to pull out a chair for Zahara to be seated in, and she did so, smiling her gratitude. Water was brought to them by one of three girls working the tables, and they were asked if they were in the mood for a meal or just a drink. Murdock ordered a few fresh fruits, then awaited Zahara's choice. [ 02-09-2002: Message edited by: Larry_OHF ] |

...Mistral...
(ooc: Pop-tarts, pop-tarts, pop-tarts...) ~Silas looked painstakingly down at you, then shot a mournful look to the woods as another howl cracked the air. He moved his gaze to the stars and whispered in the elvish tongue.~ "Du... Aglar Elen... Kalihuve!" ~He seemed to grow frustrated with the sky, tossing fist and gathering tears to it.~ "Kalihuve!" ~He then crouched in front of you, now at eye level. His gaze was to the ground.~ "The stars will not help me this night..." ~He swallowed hard, taking a deep shaky breath. He seemed thinner as he narrowed his eyes, looking into space. He looked painfully into your eyes, no remnaints of tears left within.~ "I would wish to stay by you for all eternity... But..." ~His eyes seemed dull.~ "I must go... And you must not follow. For there is fear I may not return." ~He hissed, biting his lower lip.~ "Ask your sister what duredhel means in elvish and you shall understand." ~He shuddered, instinctively reaching out to your cheek.~ "Do not cry for me." ~A sincere sorrowful look filled his eyes.~ "I love you my laurewen." ~He roughly kissed you, then ran off into the woods. It seemed all warmth escaped you except for that offered by his cloak, still draped around your shoulders.~ ...Murdock... ~Zahara smiled broadly at the waitress.~ "Imena! How do you fair?" ~The waitress looked at her puzzedly for a moment then returned the grin.~ "Zahara Malyn Rae'Lani, if I'm not wading in the walking dead! Lovely!" ~Imena's brown eyes cast a regretful look to the side, and she tugged at a lock of her curly brown hair.~ "I'd love to stay and chit-chat Zahry, but we're rather busy tonight. Maybe we can talk later? What can I get you then?" ~Zahara nodded.~ "I'd love to chat later Mena, but yes best order so you can get back to work... Hmmm... I had a rather hearty breakfast, but I do believe I'm not quite so full that I can't handle a healthy serving of Axel's best." ~Imena burst out laughing.~ "Zahara you fox! All right, all right..." ~She scribbled something on her notepad and walked into the kitchen.~ [ 02-10-2002: Message edited by: Killing Spree ] |

OOC: Oooops, forgot to look at the map
Coming close to Castle Grella. They were approaching fast, and the imposing shape of castle Grella stood out on the horizon like a sore thumb. As they continued toward it, Garaeth wondered if anything interesting would happen there...

Mistral
NO!!!!.... ~ The heartwrenching cry echoes as she grits her teeth, breaking into a desperate sprint ~ Silas, come back! ~ Her head and heart throbbing painfully, she continues on the breathless run ~ I'll chase you to the ends of the earth! ~ Gasping, her line of vision a little blurred ~ Silas!!!!... |

...Garaeth...
~Eben took a deep breath, reigning in his ivory steed.~ "Ah sweet Grella!" ~He beamed over at you.~ "Long have I wished to see her walls. Come now Garaeth, let us ride within her mighty gates!" ~He urged his horse, Nisnen, to a full stretch gallop.~ ...Mistral... (ooc: <--Explains it all!) ~A chorus of howls echoed in the distance. It struck fear into your heart, it sounded as if there were at least a hundred wolves howling to a moonless sky. Among them you knew, was Silas. You stopped, prepared to break down and weep. A soft feminine voice rang in your ears, wise yet young.~ "He told you not to cry." ~You looked up to see a shockingly beautiful elven woman, sitting by a pond skipping river stones, a sad look on her face. She was clad in a navy blue cloak too big to be her own. She sighed. As she looked up you instantly realized her heritage. Her buckskin hair was tied back in a flowing braid and her eyes were a shocking amethyst. She was the daughter of Oriana and Hart. You wondered what she was doing out in the middle of the wood.~ "You are Mistral, and I am Kala. And we share the same wretched fate." ~She tossed another stone into the pond.~ "Come Mistral, sit... We might reflect together upon our misfortune and pain." ~She looked you sadly in the eyes.~ "I fear there is no use running after him. I tried running after Damian with the first rank... It is no use. Now we must stay and pray that they return from this god-forsaken war..." [ 02-10-2002: Message edited by: Killing Spree ] |

Following suite, Garaeth led Tombolgiri (that was his name wasn't it?)
into a full gallop, and soon they were safely past the gates and searching for some rest for the night.

Mistral
"Why is it no use?" ~ Feeling a million pairs of claws ripping her heart apart ~ "He mentioned duredhel... perhaps that is the war of which he speaks." ~ Whispering in a daze, she stares right through Kala ~ I'll find you, my love... I'll find you... ~ Glancing up at the cursed new moon, she glares at it silently, wrapping Silas' cloak even more firmly around herself ~ Yes, my love, hold me tight... I need your arms around me... The moon returns her stare in mockery, provoking a defiant glint into her golden eyes ~ If there is a hope, Silas, I'll live on... ~ In a voiceless soliloquy, her eyelids fluttering uncontrollably ~ And if there isn't... ~ Here, her facial expression softens ~ ... you know I'll have no hesitation in joining you. ~ Her blood on fire, she opens her mouth, half tempted to yell out an oath at this cruel twist of fate. Yet... you wouldn't like that, would you, my love? ~ Biting her lips, she digs her nails into her palms, drawing blood ~ You underestimate me, Silas. Turning wearily to the daughter of Oriana and Hart, she finally speaks, her eyes glistening in the moonlight ~ "Would you be so kind, Kala, as to tell me where they have gone?" ~ An urgency creeping into her trembling voice ~ "Any clues or hints... I need to know." [ 02-10-2002: Message edited by: mistral4543 ] |

...Garaeth...
~You have no trouble finding a suitable in within the castle gates. 'The Lion's Mane' was filled to the brim with soldiers and fortune-seekers not unlike yourselves. Your horses were stabled, and you spent a bit of gold for food and accomidations.~ ...Mistral... ~Kala toyed mournfully with the blades of grass at her feet.~ "The duredhel... The dark elves..." ~She bites her lower lip, blinking back tears.~ "That is where they have gone. To fight a war." ~She looked venemously across the pond, her lips pursed tight.~ "Damnable destiny..." ~She looked up at you.~ "But you intend to chase him. Now don't you? You're brave laurehini, but foolish. Silas Ancarak, the long fang, he wouldn't stand for that... No matter how much he loves you." ~She eyed the cloak you wore with a soft smile.~ "Judging your atire I'd say he loves you quite a lot though. Tell me Mistral, do you know the old tradition behind that?" |
