OK. Edwinna wants me to "borrow a copy of Chimarvamidium (apparently in the Ancient Tales of Dwemer Series) from Sirilonwe in the Vivec Mages' Guild. The problem is that I stole the book AGES AGO before I knew of its significance. Of course, I sold it, and I have NO IDEA where. It could take forever to find it. Does anyone know if there is another copy anywhere, or if there is a work-around so I can get the rest of her quests? Thanks!

Do you play PC version? if yes, then you have to use console command. enter TES:editor and load up morrowind.esm. search under book section ( i think ) for the book name. jot down the book id.
go back to the game, press ~ to bring up console command. and type player->additem book_id "1" press enter and press ~ to go back to game. |

You could try Tel Fyr. I don't know if there is one there for certain but the wizard there is a collector of Dwemer artifacts.
Another idea is to go searching the book stores since you most likely sold it to one of them - other than pawn shops and book stores most merchants won't buy books. |
