I have just embarked on a solo game in which I plan to play all 11 discs. I'm playing a F/M/T. Very boring I know, but I've never played a solo game before. I'm half tempted to solo BG1, and take a small party in BG2. Not sure though. I played through BG2 with Keldorn, Aerie, PC archer and Imoen a while ago, and I've not found a better combination of characters since.

I wish you all the luck, even soloing, it will probably seem like it takes forever to level.

Well i solo'd right the way with a barbarian using BGT, and that was some fun times. Your in stock for a great adventure, and F/M/T will prove to be a worthy first solo. You should easily be able to do SoA with it too, since half way through you will be teh l33t37t around and should be able to kick anyones ass.

How goes the soloing? I started one recently, but chickened out and picked up a cleric...I think I'll drop her before the game's over, though...probably'll also pick up a thief...wouldn't have had to do that had I picked a F/M/T!

soloing an FMT through BG1 keeping under the BG XPcap should stay a reasonable challenge it reckon - i did a F/T but using TuTU and the SoA XP cap so she could blast through most stuff towards the end

a reasonable strategy could be to stay armoured up (if you use your thief points for locks and traps) and use you mage side maybe to cast from scrolls and use wands - do the same but with leather armour if you're a stealthy backstabber
