* * * * * * * * * * * * Right I've just finished Durlag's Tower- not too difficult. I've arrived back at Ulgoth's BEard, and killed all Cultists etc except ones in the room with Aet'Letec. And I can't Kill Aet'Letec! I know I have to kill the cultists else he regens, so I've been trying to do that, but he holds my people, makes them panic, and did this funny thing that had a sign saying Dying next to my chars, then they all blew up!! I am despairing here! So far I try to cast summons to keep the demon busy while I try to kill the cultists- but he still hacks my chars to pieces and every summon! what am I doing so wrong? My PArty: Ajantis Level 7 Minsc Level 7 Branwen level 8 Jaheira level 7/8 Thief level 9 Dynaheir levl 8

Do a search on "Demon" here and it will bring up lots of information on beating this guy.

I have never gotten to fight him and am wondering, do you have to finish off the Demon Knight of Durlag's Tower before the cultists and such appear in Ulgoth's Beard? Because I got stuck in the Tower and never figured out how to get to the Knight...

Aec uses a special ability called "Death Gaze." Analyzing the specifics of this attack, how Aec uses it, and who dies from it & who doesn't, should help you. Also consider the items for sale in the Ulgoth's Beard tavern.

I found a nice 'n'cheesy way to win this fight was to use Algernon's cloak on the head cultist after she stops talking, have her distract the demon, and then kill everything in the room with +2 arrows.
