Enchantment saves always succesful :(

Monsters mostly fail their reflex saves but they ALWAYS succeed enchantment spells. Enchantment spells are not so powerful IMO you agree?

Disagree, especially in chapter 1, but the caster I have using enchantment spells has a GSF in Enchantment and a 22 Int, both help crack resistances.

My sorceror in my last party used the simple level 1 Charm Person spell to great effect during chapter 1 against those hordes of goblins and orcs. (Doesn't hurt to take feat point or 2 in Spell Focus: Enchantment.)

If I saw 3 archers in a line, I'd charm the middle one and ... voila ... the other 2 would attack the chamred one, thus temporarily disabling all 3. Also, if a mob of orcs or goblin melee-ers were charging my party, I'd charm one of the trailing orc/goblin tanks (so that my own party wouldn't target and kill him early). This charmed tanks would also draw the attention of a good number of enemy tanks.

In chapter 1, Charm Person is more effective than Magic Missile.
