Rescuing Phaere: possible spoiler

Just an interesting note. When I was rescuing Phaere with Solaufein, I used one of those control circlets I got from the Mindflayer dungeon and turned one of the ilithids into a friend. When the battle was over, he was still friendly, but neither Solaufein nor Phaere would speak to me. Indignant at this rudeness, I returned to Drow City, being careful to leave the friendly Mindflayer behind (you never can trust those things). In the city, I got nowhere. No quests, no entrance to most of the buildings. So I went back to Solaufein at the battle scene. He, Phaere, and the friendly ilithid were still hanging out together and wouldn't speak to me. So I turned my party on the Mindflayer. As soon as he was dead, Phaere and Solaufein were all chatty. For the game, I guess turning an enemy to a friend is not the same as killing them. And here I was trying to do a Mindflayer a favor.

Maybe the Drow hate 'em so much they just can't stand having one for a friend.

or maybe their dialog only triggers after all the monsters that captured phaere are dead [img]smile.gif[/img]

if i were phaere, i would have wanted to make it a slave or something, but oh well
