Has anyone else read these novels? I've just noticed on Amazon that Drachenfels, by Jack Yeovil, is to be re-released. This novel is absolutely superb! A very dark, disturbing story more of a horror than fantasy novel and highly recommended. There are also the novel of Gotrek and Felix set in the Warhammer world which there are currently six of and another highly recommended on is "Beasts in Velvet". If anyone want's further info try

I've read the Orfeo trilogy (Zaragoz, Plauge Demon and Storm Riders I believe)
And I've read Konrad and Shadowbreed, but I'm missing the last in the series (warblade)..
Good books indeed

I've read all the slayer books plus a couple of others. I liked them. I like how Felix is different to your usual swashbuckling hero. he worries about battles, has hang overs all the time and complains about the weather. Don't pull any punches in the storytelling either.

Drachenfels is a pretty good book. Worth reading and I think you will like it. IIt has an unusual hero and a more "theatrical" story that is really interesting!
