Question Mark dual wield + bow mod

Hi, I tried the search function, but it didn`t turn anything up, any help would be appreciated.

Is there a mod or something which lets me equip a two handed missile weapon along with two melee weapons or a weapon/shield combo? It is annoying and completely unlogical that when letting go of the bow, you can't just draw two swords.

No, unfortunately there isn't, and there never will be, because it can't be done. Sure, in a perfect world, the engine would be programmed to handle such things as "Ignore any item, whether it's a weapon or a shield, in the offhand, whenever the person is using a two-handed weapon in their main hand," but it just plain isn't a perfect world. Quite a lot of stuff in the game is hardcoded and completely unalterable, sadly.

yeh - at least going to the inventory to do the juggling pauses the game

out of interest though have you ever drawn a sword (or two) let alone put one away? it's not a trivial thing to do

i think our SoA characters get off lightly

Unfortunately I havent, but I absolutely agree with you. I play pen & paper GURPS, which is much harder on our chars. Holstering a weapon in combat would be next to impossible, if anyone ever tried such a foolish thing. You actually fear combat because of the realism, just like it should be imo. My fighter usually sends a crossbow bolt flying toward the enemy, then drops the crossbow and charges in melee. Given he doesn't miss + a realistic system this usually means one less opponent to worry about, and sometimes a broken crossbow.
I just liked that approach and wanted to use it in BG2. I'm not too firm with P&P AD&D rules, I assume they are more realistic as well.
