Again, as per my previous key post, I am just recently getting back into the game. I just want to get to where I was before I stopped - then I promise, I will be on my own!
Anyway, when will my wizard be able to learn the Fireball spell? I think he maybe 5-6 level or so. I have spent more than a fair amount of points on fire spells. I remember the fireball spell was essential for the travle to Arnika to destroy all of those groups of baddies on the way. I want to learn it before I set out. Anyone know? Will it be an option at a certain level or did I not set his stats correctly? Thanks in advance for any help/

Gotta be "caster" level 5 and have at least 30 points total of Wizardry plus 10% of Fire.

What Scatter means is, your total for Wizardry skill plus 10% of your fire skill must be at least 30. That's in addition to being level 5 Mage or level 5 bishop or level 10 Samurai.

The rules for spell learning can be found here.
Also, check out the signature below for a web site where you can download a spreadsheet which does all the calculations for you (there is a version for Excel and another made more "friendly" for other such applications -- also details of where a free-to-download spreadsheet app can be found).
