game exits to main menu immediately after finishing final boss

i'm assuming there's some sort of cut scene after defeating the final boss, has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, there is a closing cut scene that should kick in once you defeat the final opponent. I saw on thread on the boards here about 2 weeks ago reporting the same issue of the final movie not playing and the game simply reverting to the main menu, however I did not see any solution put forward.

Do you have any mods or any other unusual things installed? Might cause this. Otherwise all I can recommend is the latest patches etc. If that fails then youll probably have to re-install.

If nothing else, I think there is a cheat which enables activation of all the movies-so you could see it that way, as long as you have version 1.05 or a more recent one. Just try searching for cheats for IWD on any search engine and you'll come across it.
