I never really subscribed to that whole "demon's are now called (add description)" that TSR came out with towards the end of 2AD&D.
So for those old boys out there, is Yxunomei is a Type 5 demon, and Balifhet a Type 6? If so, what's the new descriptive term for them now?

I cannot say. The gremlins stole my appendix on
the current names of these type's of Demon's. You gotta love the Politcally correctness of AD&D in the face of Jimmy Swaggert and his Religous following. I'll check with my sources and post back later. Hopefully someone with a little more knowlege or at least a retaining ability will have answerd your question by then.

Well, according to Neb, if Xyunomei is a Marilith, that does make her a Type 5. Good so far, as the description from MM1 checks out. I imagined that Balifhet was a Type 6, the bad boys of the "lesser" demon world, as he seemed to be tough enough for the job!
