You can find a bag of holding in Bhodi's Gauntlet in Chapter Four.

Get gembags, scrollcases, etc. Sell stuff that you're not using. Don't depend on the Bag of Holding to store everything once you get it - it *does* have a limit to what it can hold. If you have Throne of Bhaal you can also fairly easily get Potion Cases, and Ammo Belts, aswell as a second Bag of Holding.
So, basically, get every container you can get your hands on, and use them for the appriate stuff. Do *not* put stacked items (potions, ammo etc) into the Bag of Holding - you'll run out of space too quickly.

Hmm, are you quite sure you actually need all that stuff?
If it's just extra potions, I'd just stash it in a bunch of containers around town... What do you have - a lot of cool weapons, or a bunch of arrows, perhaps?

[I guess you're not in Chapter 5 yet, then? If you really want it now, you can CLUAConsole it, although even then, I think you still can't put an infinite amount in it without Weimar's Ease-Of-Use mod... The mod should take care of arrows, though]

I would recommend installing the ease of use mod. There are a lot of components to it, but it has a very good installer that asks about each option before anything is installed. So you can pick and choose what you want.

For your solo fighter, one of the most useful parts of the mod is unlimited stacking of potions and ammo. In my current game I have an archer with quivers filled with over 500 normal arrows in the first slot, 100 or so +1 arrows in the second slot, and 50 or so fire arrows in the last slot. All my tanks have one quick slot filled with 10+ potions of healing. This mod by itself takes care of a lot of inventory hassles. (For some reason acid arrows didn't get changed in the mod, so they still form groups of 40--just use them up first and they don't become a problem).

There is another component to the ease of use mod that makes the bag of holding "bottomless", able to hold tens of thousands of items, but beware slowing your game down if you actually try to figure out it limit.

If the Ease of Use doesn't ease the inventory pain enough, you can summon a bag for yourself (SoA bag is item code bag04, the bigger version from ToB is bag31). If you do cheat the bags in, don't pick up the real ones when you get to them! Leave them be. If you do and get strange item duplications or disappearing effects, don't say I didn't warn you!

Thats odd. Can you use the other containers properly? The scroll case etc.

I cant think of anything that would cause this bug. Try installing the official patch, and the baldurdash fixpack while your at it. Both of those are linked to in the FAQ thread at the top of page 1.
