Tell me, Must i have played Bg1 through to import games from bg1 to bg2?

I tired of those damn NPC's in Bg2 so I installed TDD..And Now I want to import.....

Like, You had just played Bg2-SoA through and you want to Play with the same party in Tob...Same in Bg1, Bg2.

You can't. Many NPCs from BG1 were not deemed interesting enough to be included in the limited cast of BG2.

Some of the BG II NPCS make an appearance in BG II and can join your party, but many were neglected due to the fact they weren't interresting enough.

You can however import your party to ToB if you finished SoA (only if you have ended the end battle) but importing your team from BG I to BG II is not possible.

A few of the BG1 NPCs return with TDD installed.

Importing rom BG1 to BG2 is a case of copying the saves over from BG1 to BG2, cant recall the technicalities but its covered in the readme.

Importing from SoA to ToB is automatic, just finish the game with ToB installed and it happens,.

for the sake of completeness if you made your own party in multiplayer in BG1 you could import them all into BG2 i guess although i haven't actually done it

Yes, you can import the PC and any homemade characters to SoA, but not NPCs.
Also, many of the NPCs from BG1 plays minor parts in BG2. There is a Xzar and Montaron quest, you run into Ajantis in the Windspear Hills, etc.
