I don't much like posting twice in a row, but perhaps I do have an issue now, not that applying the patch doesn't work but... It seems my clean install of Baldur's Gate is actually version 1.1.4320 ...

yeah, i would say kill them, but only if that's within your character alignment. (chaotic evil... heh). Then it would be considered soloing. But, at least IMO, the second somebody joins your party...
