I'm holding out that he will do it even better. I hope he captures the true true spirit of hobbits.

Jackson is an executive producer of the film. If you have the money, that's the way to go.....it avoids the 18-hour days!

If it's anything like the rest of his work it will bring a darker edge to the films. Looking forward to seeing the result.

Yes me too. I mean, exec. producer isn't what I wanted him as but oh well. Transformers had Spielberg as exec. and that was just okay.
