Very Angry Recommendations...

even with my souped up weaponry, my character had to sprint through Level Eight-The Underground Forest and Level Ten-The Lizardman Kingdom

so my question to everyone is this:
what levels do you recommend characters before they challenge certain areas?

- Level Three-Southquarter and Muriel's Maze
- Level Eight-The Underground Forest
- Level Ten-The Lizardman Kingdom
- Level Thirteen-Lake Of Shadows(underwater)

I would assume Levels Fourteen and Fifteen are automatically maximum level requirement. Same thing goes for anyone trying to do the "Dragonslayer Run." And for record's sake, this character is not yet 20th level.

Don't worry, I am going to tweak level 8. Since most avoid it, I'll simply revamp them a bit. They won't be so hard to kill. Don't worry, for those that want hard fights, you'll love levels 16, 17 and 19.

(18 will be like another Skullport, but different)

Moz

The character level required depends very much on
a) your build
b) whether you are playing hard-core with only the items you can collect or buy within the appropriate EFU level, or have tooled up with high-level equipment from the deeper levels.

Based on some of my more recent builds and taking the equipment combinations in order:
Non-uber gear, manageable but expect it to be painful
i) level 3 Southquarter & Muriel - lvl 17+
ii) level 8 Forest - lvl 22+
iii) level 10 Lizardking - lvl 25+
iv) level 13 Lake of Shadows - lvl 30+

Uber gear, manageable but with some bad moments
i) level 3 Southquarter & Muriel - 8+
ii) level 8 Forest - lvl 13+ (except the Beast itself)
iii) level 10 Lizardking - lvl 15+
iv) level 13 Lake of Shadows - lvl 20+

As always with EFU the best way to survive is to try and party with those with complementary skills, and the conversation is generally worth it in any case. Be a party popper not a party pooper!

These lvl numbers may be different for magic users but I tend to build for the fun of hack 'n' slash, with UMD thrown in for luck where I can get it. I also add in at least one or two levels of 'disable traps' & 'pick locks' else you miss out on a lot of stuff or get wiped out by those big bad traps which Halaster so lovingly scattered around. It really makes a difference to your survival rate. If someone has spec on magic users [how did AL get on as he travelled through the levels, Toot?] I'd be interested to hear - with luck and a convincing argument you might even convince me to build a mage...

And I would just like to add that I am loathe to take a Twinkle-bearer into lvl 14 or 15 - those rusties are bad for taking stuff, will make me sad.

Welcome back Bardboy! As I was saying, Level 8 is being reworked. It'll be just a tad harder than 7 (or 6.. since 7 is kinda a empty maze) Should I add to 7?
