I looked @ your website and was checking out your graphics (btw, I dig the sea monster) and I followed your link to the DAZ website. Now on to the Q:
How hard is DAZ to use? I mean, my artistic ability is lacking and I need the help that that program could give me. I was impressed by all the add-ons and such, even tho I'm not going to buy them; but the versatility ![]() ![]() So I guess would you recommend it? and would I need to take a class on it just to use it? ![]() ![]() ![]() Seriously, though, I say take the plunge. My only advice is to work with the downloaded material (fool around with the stuff that comes with it) and download the user's guide. Read that thing cover to cover and try out everything it suggests. Then, come back here and let me know what you think and start asking the questions. ![]() I've got to admit that I occasionally spend some money on this hobby. In the four or five years I've been fooling around with with Poser/Studio, I've maybe spent $40 total. Everything else I've gotten free or made myself. The thing to remember is that you need to know how to use the tool before you can worry about making great renders. ![]() |

Hey ST, did you ever look into this? Just curious... It's a lot easier to get in to than coding...

I don't know if this is off your list of things to pursue, but I was just at a freebies for Poser/Studio site and wondered if you had ever given this a shot...
I don't know if this is an enticedment or not, but Studio is a free download, Poser 5 was free and at a conservative estimate there are 30,000+ free items/textures available to use. ![]() ![]() ![]() If anyone is interested and wants to learn more, just ask, I'd be more than happy to help you get started. I've got lots of links, including to some great tutorials. ![]() |

Are Daz and Poser compatible? as in, can you make something in one and load it into the other?

Yup. Daz started out just making content for Poser, but found that they could expand the market if they developed a free viewer/modeler. Studio can't do everything that Poser can, but Poser can do everything that Studio can and then some.
