Default Arcade suggestion

I've seen it done on the other boards and was just wondering if it would be possible to have scoring in such a way that only the best score of each player for each game is recorded (i.e each player has only one score per game - his best one). This would favor those who are good at more or less everything over those who are good at just one game.

I think the point is rather than have 20-30 pages of the same name with low scores, we'd then just have everyone ranked by their best scores. Makes for a much shorter list.

Yes. The way it is now is that if a player is good at only one game, he can get all top ten places, and earn a high rank in leaderboard. With the other system he gets just one, so in order to get a good leaderboard place he has to get good scores in all games, not just one he's good at.

Also, a list of top 10 scores, all for the same player disocurages others to play this game. There is no point in playing if you can't make it into top ten anyway, even if you're second best. Basically we have one winner and everyone else is put in the same basket (yes I know scores get recorded beyond top 10, but no one really ever looks at those).

And, you don't get any points on the leaderboard for anything outside the top 10 (the scoring system can be changed too, iirc.)

oh, and z.. can you take games directly from other vbArcades? I know a few sites that have a boatload of games on theirs... just thinking that would make things simpler for you, rather than hunting around.
