Which class should I play? (BG)

I am going to be playing BG1 again and can't pick a class out of these 3: Wild mage (with tutu installed), Ranger, or Bard.

I love magic and this character will be a half-elfin female.

Keeping that in mind, vote! [img]smile.gif[/img]

I had ALOT of fun playing a Half-elf female Wild mage through BG1, so thats my pick

Ranger's are good. But then Blade's are good too. Never tried a Wild Mage.

A Wild Mage is just like a normal mage, with the only difference that you have access to three additional spells that no one else have, and that every spell you cast have a 5% chance of a wild surge. A wild surge is an random effect that replaces the effect the spell would normally have. These surges can be beneficial, harmless or devastating to you.

When it comes to BG1 I always side on a fighter class because BG1 favors this class and its subclasses above all others, i.e. armor, weapons, etc. (BG2 greatly, IMO, corrected this) However, rangers do take some serious EXP to gain levels as opposed to simple fighters.

From years of reading various boards Bards are way too limited under BG1, i.e. weak in song. As for a wild mage I guess as long as you have Tank and Heal support, i.e. Branwen, Minsc, Kivin, you should be just fine. And it sounds like a neat way to role play.
