I thought this would be a fun place to brag about the critters in your life - and if you count kids... well... that is up to you.

I have a cat (who owns me of course) who likes to play fetch. She brings in her toy (usually a piece of elastic) yelling her little furry head off, drops it at my feet and expects me to fling it across the hall... when I do - she brings it back and looks at me like I am her servant expected to do her bidding (mind you, I play fetch with my dog as well... but there is a TOTALLY different attitiude involved!! )

She also likes to sleep under the covers... She is like a mole... she gets under there and purrs - what a nut.

I am sure there are quite a few of you out there who have critters who do weird things!!

Defender for the Light -
Goodness knows there is a lot of Dark out there!! - Where are my matches?!?
Wandering Soul - Finding my life's calling is Bodhisattva
Looking for lost brain - I left it only for a moment....and there it goes... rolling under the table!!
Noticing that the Light has gotten further down a Dark Tunnel than expected... Time to get the Lantern... Knowing sooner or later - I will get to the End of this Tunnel to the Open Air once again...

I used to have a cat that liked to play hide and seek.
My sister had one who played tag with her and walked her to the bus stop every morning. He would also be there on time every day to meet her in the afternoon.

I had a cat for many years that would sleep under the covers with me during the winter months. She would also go crazy at the smell of Vick's Vap-O-Rub. It would have been her favorite snack had I let her eat it lol. I woke up one night to her fighting my nightgown to get inside it and eat the Vick's I had rubbed on my chest for a cold. Scared the crap outta me!

Right now, I have a cat that would rather you pet him with your feet than with your hands. Grandpa hates him, because Grandpa don't get around that fast and the cat takes advantage of it, rolling all over his feet as he tries to get through the house. He wakes me up in the a.m. by biting my nose or pulling my hair.

We have another that sleeps in odd places...in the printer, behind the blinds with her feet sticking through the slats, inside buckets, etc. When she was a baby, her favorite napping place was inside a tissue box. She likes to be cuddled and curls up under my chin or lays in my arms with a paw on my nose or upper lip.
Her brother sleeps on or as close to in a pair of shoes as he can get. He'll also prop an elbow up on the base of the computer's desk chair and lounge on the floor...looks like he is kicking back, waiting for someone to bring him a drink.

Our puppy likes squeaky toys...he'll play fetch with them but before he hands them over to be thrown again, he has to squeak them for a few.

Hey Charean, I have a Siamese who loves to fetch too. He brings me his little crinkly ball and I have to throw it. Then, he brings it back to me a couple times and then starts leaving it further away, which means I have to get up and get the ball. Then he'll run around with it in his mouth and he plays keep away. Sometimes I wonder who is actually the fetcher and the fetchee, if you know what I mean. And of course, you have to play when he wants to play.

One of my rats, Pierat, has three brothers. He's smarter than any of the others, and I think he gets bored by them.

One day, to amuse himself, I found him throwing SPITWADS at his brothers! He would take a bit of bedding (Carefresh), chew it a bit, rear back, and go "POO!" The wadded-up bedding would fly across the cage and hit one of the other rats on the noggin. That rat would jump up and look around as if saying, "Huh...what? Where come from?" Then he'd settle back down, and Pierat would do it to another rat. The delinquent!

My little baby budgie loves to fly.
But sometimes he forgets to let go of the perch with his feet - and flaps madly, legs getting longer and longer as his body moves away from his feet!
We would never need air conditioning because he sets up quite a breeze.

Once he was bending his head under the perch to chew the perch (he chews everything, nothing is safe) and he chewed his own foot and jumped in fright!

That's one reason I love parakeets, they are always up to something silly, constant entertainment. Much better than TV.

LOL Reminded me of the Vap-O-Rub cat...she hated other cats so much that she attacked her own reflection in a mirror I had set on the hallway floor...at a full run! Poor thing, I was just a fraction of a second too slow at getting it moved out of the way in time. It did not break but she sure stopped hard!

We had an Irish Setter, Red, who used to think he could get up on the couch if he did it body part by body part...

THE GUINEA PIG ALARM

If you give your guinea pig vegetables from the fridge then eventually whenever you open the fridge even if it is on the opposite end of the house from the guinea pig it will go off like a alarm and wont stop till it gets its snack of choice. Can be heard from next door.
