I figured, what the heck...there hasn't been a pictures-thread here in a very long time, and you all should have something interesting to look at. So, these are photographs taken in Lewis County, Kentucky, on my family's 186-acre farm. They were taken in the early part of summer, 2005.

Here's the view, from my yard, of the barn we use to store hay in, for the 70 or so cattle we raise.

Here's one of the gentler of said creatures:

A view from about halfway up the hill that makes up about half of our property:

And the view from the top, in three pictures, looking from west to east...the prettiest one I left the biggest...and this is the Ohio River you're looking at.

Not a problem... See that barn? That's where they make it, Panther Sweat ( I cleaned that up a bit).

Meh, that barn's housed other vices, too...the one you see in the pictures from astride the hill is our tobacco barn, and I know it had a good 40 year run as a place for the drying-out of Burley tobacco.

Oh, and moonshine. Yeah...it can be found, though we don't raise any corn...but the people who live in the "holler" behind our farm (on the other side of the hill I'm standing on, relative to my house) do...

Beautiful area... Man, I love rural living.

Except for the lack of many urban benefits. Guess I'm stuck and labelled a city boy.
