Some of you know (most do not) that I have been co-running a game since before the RP forum was created. In its years, we've taken on many players, but most of them have either been lost to real life, or death due to either innactivity or by losing a battle. Our need is great for new gamers.

In the near future, The game will be taking a turn that would allow for new players to be accepted into the game without knowing much of the storyline. We would very much like to take on new players so that we can continue the success of the game.

The following explains the game's play.

* Each gamer writes his or her character's thoughts and actions in detail which contributes to the storyline. The only rule is courtesy for other gamers with this section.
* If and when there are fights, the shots are called by the Game Master, using the dice system when needed.
* Having fun and creating an exciting enviroment is our key purpose.

If you have never gamed before in any setting, or if you are not sure if you will like the style that our game is run in, then please contact me anyway with your interest. I can setup a training session or test run for each interested applicant that would provide the principles of the game and its requirements. Our most important thing we want you to know is that we are willing to work with new gamers and will take time with each one to ensure that they are not left out of the fun. We are hoping that our efforts will lead more people into becoming more creative and more apt to joining other games on the RP forum in the future.

Please see this link, which is an ...interesting viewpoint from a gamer on what his character thinks about our game. Note that the first post on this link is "in-character."

Just to add an elaboration...if you give us a chance to offer you a test run of gaming in our style and you decide that you do not like it, you are free to withdrawl with no harrassment. You may even offer any suggestions you feel appropriate if you find our style less than perfectly accomodating to your needs. We'll take all ideas into consideration.

The test run will not benefit nor hinder the storyline of the game so you can feel secure in trying it out with no feeling of letting any of us down if you choose not to continue.

At this time, we have two new recruits who are looking forward to their chance to start gaming.

Maybe I should get some testimonials posted.

As a text roleplaying virgin, i am indeed interested in this proposal. Before i can sign on, however, i should point out that i'm going to be limited to on-line access for a while. I can really only swing about an hour every day or two. Is this enough?
First, off...the actual commencement of the new chapter in the game is still a couple of weeks off, but if you were ready to begin now, I would accomodate to the best of my abilities until the new section of the game started.

We do not all wait until each of us are online at the same time. It is turn-based and we understand that with real life, time zones, and other issues...not everybody can post daily. In fact, some people make a post once a week, maybe. Sometimes it might take two weeks to hear from one of our guys. We can usually work around such problems. It sounds to me like if you could make one post to stay caught up every day then you would be one of the most active players.

I have killed off people only when they have taken around a month and still no word, not even a PM as to how things are going...so as long as you stay in contact in some manner with the game operators...you'll be fine with missing a day here or there. You might even have to wait on me to post for a couple of days if I were busy and unable to game.

It is a laid-back enviroment, and nobody asks too much of you, other than for you to post enough to consider you active, meaning keeping up with the majority of the active gamers.

Does that help?

Sever reclines in his tavern chair and pulls back the tattered hood of his travel garb - affording the long term patrons a glimpse of a warm smile.

Where do i sign?

Click the link in the first post of mine, and you'll be taken to the RP forum and the sign-up sheet that I have there. You'll also see examples of three other members who have signed up, so just follow the template. PM me with any private info that you do not want the other players to be aware of in regards to your character.
