(Useless)items(Maybe a spoiler?)

In Spellhold insane test place i found heaps of, supposedly useless items. I'm just wondering if these have any use at all, like maybe u can sell them or forge them?? There taking up space and i want to dump them.

If you find them in the room with statues around, you have to solve the riddles - click on the each statue and solve the riddle appearing, then put the answer (the corresponding useless item) in the hands of the statue. After all the riddles are solved properly, the chest in the centre will open...

While we're on the subject of useless items, does anyone know what (if anything) those empty potion vials are for? You get them off....

Given that that whole Guarded Compound/Twisted Rune/The Roenalls are a bunch of A**holes quest was left unfinished by Bioware I would guess that they are completely and utterly redundant.

Yes they are use-less. The first time through i cared those things in bag of holding until I was done the game did not find a use for them yet. Dump them with the other use-less things.

I kept all of those things and stashed them in my stronghold for sentimental value, same as all the quest items, letters, and all that other stuff. Though the Underdark was tricky.. It's hard to haul so much stuff around, even with the Bag of Holding I had all my party members' inventories full.

Do what I just did - raid the 1st level of Watcher's Keep.
You'll find a couple of nifty items (1 bought, the other is loot) that'll help immeasurably in inventory management (specifically, containers to hold arrows, bolts & bullets, & potions).
Of course, you'll need ToB for this.

The Ammo Belt holds a LOT of arrows, bolts, etc. I haven't been able to fill it up so I'm not sure if it is bottomless or not... Back to potion vials, I heard it had something to do with a guy drinking a specific type of potion (eg Frost Giant Strength) then dying, but this is second hand information.

The potion vials were part of a larger quest that the good folks at BioWare never finished. They're useless.

And personally, I think that Hayashi's advice is good. It's relevent to this thread and it's helpful.

And the ammo belt isn't bottomless, though it still holds a LOT.
I think it's annoying that the ammo belt doesn't group your stuff in 40's, but instead makes you select the number of things you want to remove from the belt... Maybe a patch fixes it, but I wouldn't know, as my PC is too slow to DL one.
