best did you know fact

I'm just wondering what the best Did You Know fact is that you know.

Mine would have to be: Did you know that you shrink 1 and a half inches during the day because of gravity pushing you down, but whie your lying down, the gravity is spread over you body so you grow back the 1 and a half inch.

If that's true... Well... It just may be the bestest Did You Know i've ever heard.

But it doesn't explain the, ahem, morning glory phenomen does it? I mean, c'mon guys, we all grow a few inches round about 6am no matter which direction gravity is pulling, don't we?

Maybe after you have eaten the eightth spider you die, only way in the the universe to die is to eat 8 spiders... then you die, in what ever fashion suits you best...

would explain why people generally live longer were there are fewer spiders... right ?

Uh, are these actual FACTS or just urban legends? AFA shrinking an inch and a half overnight, I think I'd notice that -- my pants would either be the right length in the morning & wrong in the afternoon, or vice versa. According to Why do People Shrink? it's more like one inch in a lifetime... And The Straight Dope does a pretty good job of explaining why we don't really swallow spiders. Snopes says the same thing and explains how that one started in the first place.

Oh, and Sever -- ever think it's your body's way of keeping you from wetting the bed?
