WTF!!!!!!!!!
Just updated from MSN v8 to MSN v9 and everything was fine. Then after about 7 mins I was disconnected from the Internet. Well, nothing strange about that, I am still using dial up and the phone lines aren't all that great where I live. So I try to dial again, and I get a message that my modem is in use??? So I check my network connections and there is a new dial up connection called SIXA and i don't kno where it came from. The phone number is 5, just 5!!!! so I restart and delete it and reconnect, same thing happens!!! I restart again and run spybot, norton, and defender pro, and it is still there!!! I am at a loss as to how to get rid of it and can't get anything done. Any suggestions?

Grab hold of HiJack This from www.merijn.org and see what it says. That sounds like some kind of malware dialer, and HJT may be able to highlight the source.

In fact, I did a google search for "sixa dial up connection" (without quotes), and the first page was complete with cases of people running into this and ideas about how to fix it. Unfortunately, it involves using a tool like HJT and a lot of manual removal. It also came with a suggestion to ensure you have a firewall and current anti-virus software in place.

Sorry

This dialer looks like a real nasty one to get rid of. Check these for info.
