Boy, what a doozy

Got a message Tuesday night that one of my great-aunts (the one who's been saying for years that she might not be around much longer) is finally right. She's got terminal cancer, and is in hospice right now.

Thursday morning, found out that the wife of a guy I used to work with died Wednesday. She was holding one of their kids, passed out, and later died from a blood clot. They have a four-year-old and triplets who just turned one.

And today, I found out that a work friend from way back has been skipping work the last two weeks. His wife was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and the prognosis isn't good. He's spending all his time with her, as he should.

So pardon me if I'm a bit moody or standoffish of late.... I'm doing a lot of thinking. Animal's final words keep coming back and make me think it's time for a change.

Give 'em a hug one more time. It might be the last.

Bungleau, I'm deeply sorry you're having such awful news this week. Don't know if a virtual hug can help at all, but you've got all you can ask for!

Sometimes life throws us alot of curveballs....seems you're friends and family are getting the lion's share right now. God bless you and know that there are people out here who understand.

Hug your wife, your children and your dog....Animal was right...life is too short to take for granted.

Thanks, Cloudy. It's all about keeping things in perspective... and that I will do.

In the meantime, I think I'm going to head over to the cafe for the Endless M&M Bowl. Sometimes, that just makes things right

I'm sorry to hear that Bungleau Wow that is quite a lot to hit you in just one week, I can see why it would be very depressing for you. I echo what Cloudy said. I don't know what else really to say, except I know how you feel, been there, but not as many in one week. I'm extremely sensitive and even people that I hardly know, if they get fatally sick or die, it really hits me hard.

Anyway *HUGS* for what it's worth, and I hope the Endless M&M bowl helps, I see it has those Mega sized ones in there tonight.

LadyZ's right, the oversized ones are all in the endless bowl tonight. Enjoy them and think of the good things in your life- you're right about that. Perspective is the key.
