That sounds pretty cool, but I'm not too keen on the "electric shock the same as a stun gun" thing.

Ditto. Also, after the game is out for a week some little kid will try out their older sibling's "fun game" and be hospitalized . Maybe someone could fill us in on how a stun gun effects you?

i don't like that idea.
a game is something that you play to get away from reality, you don't play a game to feel pain.

[/QUOTE]i made my own "stun gun" out of a camera a while back and it deffinatly burns your skin, and you feel it.
Stun guns however tend to have higher voltage and lower current, after various different designs, i developed a pretty effective one, basically you don't get burned, but you sure feel it.
Headache, sweatey palms, high heart rate, and you do get knocked to the ground.
No real permenant damage, but i can see some kid attaching it to their toung or something, and i can't see that being nice/not permenant.

I am more into a cattle prod. Like I would ever want to play a game that does that to me. A game over screen is good enough for me.

This would never take off I don't think. There are too many technicalities. Imagine the amount of sueing etc. going on. There would have to be a written contract. What if young children/babies got a hold of it etc.

Not the way forward in my view.

I personally think that the next type of game should be a Grand Theft Auto game which has similar realism: If you go to the hospital, the game breaks your arm or leg. If you go to jail, you find out first hand why they call it the pokey...

Wait, they have something against games that have violence like Grand Theft Auto, but have no problems with games that shock you if you screw up? Ah, the joys of ignorance

A keep away from children sticker would be appropriate.
Doesn't that pretty much remove all liability?
