Polynesian Culture / Hawaiian Culture

Could somebody help me find information about the roles that men and women play in this culture in today's society? I need to know how a typical family of Polynesian decent (native hawaiian) operates. The expectancy of the father, the mother, the children. I cannot find anything with Google, but maybe I am using the wrong search commands. I thought that maybe you guys already knew something.

What about Samoan or Tongan? I might know one or two (rugby mates).

Close enough. I hear that they generally hang out together, so maybe they are alot alike in living styles...

I have a friend who is Somoan, but he lives in Missouri and has never known his homeland, so I cannot use him as a resource.
