I foolishly downloaded and installed something called VIA 4 in 1 Service Pack from http://www.muonline.com/. Then I understood that that thing isn't meant for my computer. Right now, scrolling pages up and down is very slow, some games are very laggy and the screen is all sparkling and hurts my eyes.
![]() Is there any way to uninstall it without having to reinstall Windows= Thank you! |

I'd search for the filename, and kill everything that matches it. But, then, I've been known to be a bit drastic...

Hmm, you don't suppose VIA can also be referred to as 'Advanced Networking Pack for Windows XP,' do you? If that's what it is, I'll delete in immediately. If not, then I guess it isn't there.

I don't want to take the wind out of your sails, but lets try to figure this one out.
VIA is one of the LARGEST chipset manufacturer's out there. They are involved in everything PC related. Motherboards, chipsets, controller, audio, video, etc...Just about every builder uses something from VIA. So, not all is lost. However, what exactly was installed is hard to track. What exactly was it you were lokking for? What did this pack say it would do? What type of hardware was this pack designed to upgrade? Lastly, did you have to "Flash" anything in order for the install to complete. Like Flash your 'BIOS', or video 'BIOS', or any such? If we can get to the core, then you can uninsatll drivers, and re-install from disk, or the net. Finally, what type of PC? Custom or store bought = brand = specs.
